| Description: Atlantic Wharf (formerly referred to as Russia Wharf) has had its share of issues including lawsuits, but it appears the building, which will aim to preserve the exteriors of three historic buildings, will be a reality after all. The location is superb, being on the Waterfront, close to the site of the Boston Tea Party with frontage on both the new Rose Kennedy Greenway and historic Boston Harbor. As planned currently, the building is to climb 31 stories into the downtown Waterfront sky.
The development is mixed-use, the majority of which will be Class A office space, as well 30,000 square feet of retail and public spaces. 70 to 80 residential units are still in plan, along with a 650-car parking garage. Atlantic Wharf will be striving for LEED Gold certification and initial occupancy during Q1 2011.
