Description: The Harbor Towers are located at both 65 East India Row and 85 East India Row, and offer Waterfront residents of Boston over 300 condos. Located on the Boston Harbor, The Harbor Towers have their own dock and marina, and offer spectacular views. When turing down East India Row off of Atlantic Avenue, 65 East India Row will be on your right, and 85 East India Row will be straight ahead, slightly closer to the Harbor.

Built between 1968 and 1972 at a cost of about $35 million, the Towers were initially built as affordable rental housing. At the time, the architectural style, with contributions from renowned architect I.M. Pei, was thought to be somewhat out of place as too modern. Due to the age of the towers, and the number of units, there is a significant range of quality and amenities in the units themselves, with some units having undergone significant renovations, while others have not – each unit is unique.

The development has a 24-hour concierge, an outdoor seasonal pool, and below grade parking. Price per square foot in the Towers dropped over the course of 2007 as a large ($90,000+) special assessment on each unit came due in November 2007 to replace aging electrical, heating, and air conditioning systems. Repairs are underway, and will progress through the units over the next several years.
